Nimpkish River, alongside Highway 19 near Woss
The largest river system on Vancouver Island culminates with the flowing of the Nimpkish River into Broughton Strait, 8km east of Port McNeill on the east coast of north Vancouver Island.

Cutthroat trout are resident year round in the Nimpkish River, with summer steelhead from June to September and winter steelhead from January to April.

Dolly Varden fishing is good in the spring, with good fall runs of chinook and coho salmon.

Nearest Lakes: Tsiko Lake, Mukwilla Lake, Nimpkish Lake

Nearest Park: Lower Nimpkish Provincial Park, Nimpkish Lake Provincial Park
